Production Manager

We are looking for a motivated Production Manager to lead our product manufacturing efforts. This role involves directing and coordinating the activities necessary to produce our company’s products efficiently and to high standards. You’ll make key decisions related to production, work closely with management to set quality and production goals, and ensure smooth collaboration between procurement, maintenance, and quality control. Your leadership will drive our team towards meeting production targets and maintaining excellence in our operations.

SUMMARY: Direct and coordinate activities concerned with production of company product(s) by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors or team leaders. Makes necessary decisions in regards to production

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Confer with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.

– Plan and direct production activities and establish production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors, including safety, Safety Committee, personnel, and regulatory entities (e.g. OSHA, EPA, etc.).

– Coordinate production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.

– Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems.

– Develop and implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve quality.

– Consult with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality.

– Conduct material handling functions within department from and to warehouse, shipping and receiving area.

– Compile, store, and retrieve production data.

– SAFETY: Give earnest consideration to the rules of safety presented to you by poster signs, discussions with your supervisors, posted department rules and regulations published in the safety portions of the policy and procedure manual.

– SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage subordinate personnel in production. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the production team and their performance.

– Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, setting up jobs, lot tracking, ensure employees have proper drawings and work orders, ordering supplies for launcher and electronic floors; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

– Safety Committee, CPR certified, bloodborne pathogens trained;

– Weekly production report, monthly ISO reports; weekly production walk thru, weekly production meeting, weekly Navy call, monthly risk management, monthly master review meeting, monthly safety meeting.

– SOFTWARE: Run stencil cad and epilog laser printer, zebra design and printer (bar code), visual, vault, training matrix.
